Plectranthus ernstii, often referred to as the Round-Leaf Plectranthus or simply Ernst’s Plectranthus, is an intriguing and distinctive species within the Plectranthus genus. Native to South Africa, this plant is particularly noted for its unusual growth habit and striking appearance. Plectranthus ernstii features rounded, slightly succulent leaves that are green with a hint of purple undertones, arranged neatly along its semi-succulent stems. The leaves themselves are slightly fleshy, adding to the plant's robust texture.

What sets Plectranthus ernstii apart is its swollen, woody caudex, which forms at the base of the stem and can be exposed for a bonsai-like appearance that is highly valued among collectors. This caudex not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also helps the plant store water, enabling it to withstand periods of drought.

In fall, it produces spikes of delicate, tubular flowers, typically mauve to purple in color, which rise above the foliage and attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. This blooming characteristic, combined with its unique foliage and caudex, makes Plectranthus ernstii a fascinating specimen for both indoor and outdoor gardening.

Culturally, Plectranthus ernstii prefers well-drained soil and can thrive in both full sun and partial shade, making it versatile for different garden settings. It requires moderate watering, with a reduction during the winter months to mimic its natural dry season. Perfect for container gardening or as an accent in succulent displays, Plectranthus ernstii adds a sculptural element to any plant collection, appealing to those who appreciate its quirky growth form and minimal care requirement.

None of the stuffing pulled out
I have 3 dogs. 1 is very gentle w/ stuffed toys. 1 is new to us and very anxious and kept stealing things like water bottles to gnaw on. And 1 destroys every stuffed toy we have ever brought into the house. We bought these for the anxious one. She was recently adopted and very people shy and afraid of the world around her. She doesn't know how to play with people and she's terrified if you try to throw a ball or if you squeak a squeaker, but we also needed something durable enough for her chewing that would be safe for her and could also withstand the toy destroyer possibly getting hold of it. They've been playing with these for a few months now and the most damage is that some of the rope necks are a bit frayed and a lot of the fuzz on the outside is gone, but none of them have been torn open. And the squeakers are in there in a way that it's hard to make them squeak if not doing so intentionally. The 1 dog can have plush toys again, the 1 dog can gnaw and chew to reduce her anxiety and the 3rd can chew and attack it without me having to clean up stuffing all the time

Very durable
Color: 3 Pack Donkey Giraffe Dog
For some reason I thought they would be a little bigger but I have to say they are very durable. My Saint Bernard has not shredded them to pieces yet. Normally the toys last a day or two but he still has them after 3 weeks. 👍

Not durable
Color: 3 Pack Donkey Giraffe Dog
Toys look nice, but they did not last 2 days with our 6 months Mini Aussie. It's nice as a display item, not as a toy.

Cute and engaging
Color: 3 Pack Donkey Giraffe Dog, Color: 3 Pack Donkey Giraffe Dog
Received these cute toys 2 days ago. My beagle was so excited to play with them. Great concept with the rope feature and then fluffy areas. Unfortunately she has already ripped apart the giraffe so the destruction rate is not good for a medium sized dog. Great for our Chihuahua. I would recommend buying for small dogs only.
