This extremely popular, fast-growing, and visually playful Adanson's monstera, often affectionately called the "Monkey Mask" monstera worldwide, is a true cornerstone of modern urban jungles! It stands out with its unique, bright green leaves naturally decorated with oval holes (fenestrations), creating a distinct Swiss cheese visual effect. Unlike its larger sister (Monstera deliciosa), this monstera is much more compact and grows as a vine – you can let its stems elegantly hang down from a shelf or support them on a stake, allowing the plant to climb upwards. It is a very dynamic, patient, and air-purifying houseplant that will add an informal, tropical, and lively natural accent to any interior. It is an ideal and joy-enhancing gift for both experienced plant lovers and beginners looking for a visually expressive and easy-to-care-for green friend!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. Here lies the main secret of this plant: for the monstera to produce new leaves with its characteristic large holes, it needs a lot of light! In too dark a place, it will stretch out, and new leaves may grow completely whole (without holes). However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn its thin leaves.

  • 💧 Watering: Moderate and attentive. The monstera loves moisture but is very easy to overwater. Allow the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm deep) to dry out completely between waterings. If the plant is thirsty, its leaves will lose some firmness and droop. It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot and yellowing leaves!

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and adapts well to normal indoor light. Since this is a tropical forest native, it literally loves increased air humidity (so it will appreciate regular misting or the presence of a humidifier). Strictly protect from cold drafts!

  • 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. It contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation of the mouth, tongue, and throat, drooling, and digestive issues if chewed. Keep it out of reach of pets!

🏠 BEST ROOM:

  • A high shelf or hanging pot in the living room (allowing its long, holey vines to hang freely and elegantly down).

  • A bright bathroom with a window (an absolutely ideal spot, as the plant will love the natural humidity there).

  • A bright bedroom (as a relaxing and tropical air purifier).

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height: 20-25 cm

  • Pot diameter: 12 cm

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen, its vine length, and the number of holes on the leaves may vary slightly. Important to know nature’s secrets: you will soon notice long, brown aerial roots on the monstera stems. Never cut them off! In nature, the plant uses them to cling to tree trunks and absorb moisture from the air. You can carefully tuck these roots back into the soil of the pot or provide the plant with a moist moss pole to climb (when growing up a pole, monstera leaves become significantly larger!). If the plant starts to stretch, don’t hesitate to safely prune its long shoots – this will stimulate bushier growth, and the cuttings can be easily rooted in water. When repotting, be sure to use a light and loose aroid soil mix with good drainage.

Not durable
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm giving it 2 stars because these balls are not durable. They also don't bounce well. My dog cracks the seam easily. I will use them, but won't be purchasing again.

Falls apart within minutes!
I’m a real human and person (sad I have to say that) who bought these stupid balls for my dog because tennis balls are EXPENSIVE. She chewed on them only a few times and the balls split in half into two hemispheres right away. Plus, she could rip the felt off the entire ball in less than an hour. Absolutely terrible and I truly threw money away because I threw away the original packaging and so I can’t get my money back! Very disappointing and sad :-(. Turns out that Play Again sports sells used tennis balls for $0.35 each. Sorry, Amazon. I’m getting my tennis balls from them from now on 😠

Do Not Buy!!
I just opened these balls up and what a waste of money. They don't bounce at all. They are made not like how normal tennis balls are. They are filled with so much air on the inside to where they bust really easy. They also have so much glue on them and that even comes off really easy. I paid $ 25 and some change and what a waste. The first ball only lasted a few seconds it's already shredded and busted. I do have a dog with a strong mouth and that is why I picked these balls they seemed they were made to last. I have an Old English Bulldogge and the ball lasted only seconds. Threw the ball out to her she put it in her mouth and Poof not a ball anymore.DO NOT BUY AT ALL!!!

To easy to chew through.
These are already broken on the inside not safe for dogs. I am a groomer and ordered these to send home with my customers but the rubber in the middle is already broken and they can easily chew through the surface. It could ingest it and that isn’t safe. Good for a dog that doesn’t chew
