🌾 Discover the Joy of Growing Authentic Basmati Rice

Turn your backyard or balcony into a fragrant rice paddy with our premium Basmati rice seeds. Whether you're a passionate home gardener, a food lover seeking ultimate freshness, or a hobbyist exploring traditional grains, our seeds offer you the chance to cultivate one of the world’s most prized rice varieties—right from scratch.

Our basmati seeds are carefully selected for their purity, germination rate, and aromatic yield. Each packet is an investment in taste, tradition, and the satisfaction of growing your own staple crop from seed to plate.

Why Choose Our Basmati Seeds?

  • Purity Assured: Open-pollinated, non-GMO, heirloom-quality seeds from traditional Indian cultivars.

  • High Germination Rates: 85–95% viability for successful sprouting.

  • Certified Quality: Rigorously tested for pathogens, treated for seed-borne diseases (optional untreated versions also available).

  • Sustainably Sourced: From smallholder farmers in the Himalayan foothills where true Basmati originates.

🌾 Optimal Growing Conditions

  • Climate: Warm, humid environments ideal.

    • Zones: USDA 9–12 (ideal), adaptable in 7–8 with indoor or greenhouse start.

  • Soil Requirements:

    • Type: Loamy, fertile, well-drained, pH 5.5–7.

    • Preparation: Add compost or well-rotted manure before planting.

  • Sunlight: Full sun—minimum 6–8 hours per day.

  • Water Needs: Consistent moisture is crucial, especially during tillering and flowering stages. Avoid water stagnation unless replicating paddy-style growing.

🌱 Planting Guidelines

  • Seed Pre-treatment:

    • Soak seeds in clean water for 24 hours, then drain and pre-sprout for another 24–48 hours in a warm, shaded area.

  • Sowing Methods:

    • Direct Seeding: In tropical climates.

    • Transplanting (Recommended): Start in nursery trays or seed beds, then transplant after 25–30 days.

  • Depth & Spacing:

    • Plant ½ inch (1.2 cm) deep.

    • Spacing: 8–10 inches between plants, 12 inches between rows.

  • Container Growing:

    • Use deep containers (minimum 10–12 inches). One plant per container with 5 gallons soil capacity.

🌿 Care Instructions

  • Fertilization Schedule:

    • At transplant: Add nitrogen-rich organic compost.

    • Mid-tillering: Apply balanced NPK (10-10-10 or 15-15-15).

    • Panicle initiation: Boost potassium and phosphorus.

  • Irrigation Tips:

    • Keep soil moist, not soggy.

    • Drip irrigation or shallow flooding mimics traditional conditions.

  • Common Pests & Solutions:

    • Pests: Stem borers, leaf hoppers, and rice bugs.

    • Solutions: Neem oil sprays, row covers, intercropping with pest-repelling plants.

  • Diseases:

    • Blast, sheath blight—prevent with crop rotation, clean tools, and seed treatment.

A great casual shoe option with a touch of class
Size: 9, Color: Navy
The Amazon Essentials Men's Oxford Brogue Knit Dress Sneaker is the perfect "hybrid" shoe for anyone needing to bridge the gap between office formality and weekend comfort. It provides a sharp, polished look without the stiff, heavy feel of a traditional dress shoe. Why it’s a great choice: Athletic Comfort: Features a molded foam insole that provides cushioned support, making it comfortable enough for all-day wear and long commutes. Breathable Design: The soft knit upper allows for excellent airflow, keeping your feet cool even during busy days. Featherlight Build: These sneakers are built with a lightweight, flexible sole that reduces foot fatigue compared to standard leather oxfords. Versatile Style: The sophisticated brogue pattern and contrast trim pair perfectly with everything from tailored slacks to casual jeans.

fit and comfort
Size: 8.5, Color: Grey, Size: 8.5, Color: Grey
Perfect fit, i was a little anxious about the size and fit. As you can see in the pictures, they look great and they are very light. I would give them a five-star rating as the comfort is there, only the point is a little hard on the toes, I hope that goes away with usage.

Comfortable Oxford style shoes
Size: 10, Color: Black, Size: 10, Color: Black
Comfortable shoes that almost slip on each time. The material is a cotton mesh that is very soft and breathes well. I would not recommend walking in wet grass as the water can get through the mesh and make your feet wet. I normally wear size 10 for sneakers and this was true to size. I have extra room in the toe box. I do think the shoe feels a little narrow, but with the mesh area being stretchy, it does not cause any discomfort. The narrowness of the shoe makes it look more form fitting around my feet. Overall the shoe is comfortable while also giving an impression of high quality foot wear. It looks elegant too. The shoes also seem pretty durable given how much they feel like sneakers. The leather at the tip of the shoe does not scuff easily, which is great! Overall good value too!

Poor quality
Size: 12, Color: Black
Poor quality. Returned after arrival, soles seem to be made of plastic.

High End Style Without the Markup
Size: 12, Color: Navy, Size: 12, Color: Navy
I love the deep navy color of these shoes because it looks even richer in person than it does in the online photos. I usually wear a size 12 and these do have some extra room so could have gone down a half size. The white sole creates a nice contrast that makes the navy color pop. For me, these hit that perfect sweet spot where I look put together at work that is business casual without feeling like I am wearing stiff or formal dress shoes. These are comfortable shoes because the fabric is breathable and keeps my feet cool throughout the day. I especially like that the toe box bends naturally and does not leave ugly permanent creases across the top of the shoe. The padding around the ankle is soft and there is no rubbing even when I am walking a lot. My favorite part has to be the slight stretch around the opening because it lets me kick them off or slide them on without having to touch the laces. This is a total win for my lazy side and makes them my go to pair when I am headed out the door in a hurry. The stitching feels very durable and the overall build quality seems like it will hold up for a long time.
