Description: The standard Polaskia chichipe is a columnar tree-like cactus with many curved branches, up to 5 m tall. The beautiful crested form is very rare in collection and highly priced for its sculptural shape and powdery grey-blue epidermis. Older crested plant can reach a considerable size (up to 2 m tall and in diameter, or more )
Stems: Powdery grey and green with  wavy ribs;
Areoles:  1 to 1.5 cm apart;
Spines: Greyish up to 5cm but usually shorter; 1 central spine; 6-8 radials.
Flowers: Small yellowish-green. Anthesis diurnal as well as partly nocturnal.
Fruit:  2-3 cm edible.

Economical uses: Polaskia chichipe is cultivated in central Mexico for its edible red fruits (chichituna) and branches used as fuel wood. Cultivated plants have larger and sweeter fruits, a longer period of fruit production, and are self-compatible.

Cultivation: Polaskia grow slowly and are cold intolerant, make sure that they are not exposed to freezing temperatures or they may die. During the summer it is best to keep the plants outside where the temperature can rise to over 30 C with no harm to the plant. Furnish good drainage and use a an open and free draining mineral compost that allows therefore roots to breath. They like only a short winter's rest and should be kept almost completely dry during the winter months, If the soil is allowed to be dry for too long root loss could follow but equally the same result would occur if the plants are both wet and cold. From March onward the plant will begin to grow and watering should be increased gradually until late May when the plant should be in full growth.
Water regularly during the summer so long as the plant pot is allowed to drain and not sit in a tray of water. During hot weather you may need to water the plants more frequently so long as the plant is actively growing. From late September watering should be reduced to force the plant to go in to a state of semi dormancy, by October you should be back in to the winter watering regime.
Need full sun avoiding only the harshest summer sun, if kept too dark they may become overly lush and greener and could be prone to rotting due to over watering.
Feeding may not be necessary at all if the compost is fresh then, feed in summer only if the plant hasn't been repotted recently. Do not feed the plants from September onward as this can cause lush growth which can be fatal during the darker cold months.

Propagation: by vegetative propagation grafting or stem cuttings.

These shoes adequately do the job they're meant to do
Size: 11, Color: Black, Size: 11, Color: Black
For shoes to wear daily for work, these are absolutely perfect. I give four stars simply because they are not 100% perfect; that is, they are a reflection of their cost and durability. With that said, these shoes are perfect for my role as a professor AND a person who walks half a mile from the train station to class and back 5x a week. Comfortable. Nice cushion on the heel. And they look really amazing - classy but not pretentious. I bought a second pair a week after the first just so I could have different colors, and it is likely I will get a third pair. For $40-ish dollars, they do the job they're meant to and they do it well. This picture shown are the originals I bought, but I also got the black pair, too.

Great shoes
Size: 10.5, Color: Dark Grey
I saw people wearing shoes like this in the office (maybe not the same brand), so I ordered a pair to see how they feel. They feel amazing. It's basically sneaker that look ok to be worn with pants and sport jacket. Fit is great, I ordered my usual size and they fit nicely. Sole is thick enough to make them comfortable, not too thick to looks like a sport sneaker. Durability seems ok, wore them couple of times, so I can't really tell, but they seems like they can last long time.

Love these shoes
Size: 9.5, Color: Grey
These shoes are soft, comfy, and easy on and off. They breathe in the summer heat and feel good on a cool evening. They run true to size and the colors are like they are represented. I recommend this brand for a good looking, inexpensive shoe.

Comfortable shoes that still look presentable
Size: 12, Color: Black
I wanted a pair of shoes that were more presentable than regular sneakers but did not feel like stiff dress shoes, and these fit that role well. They have the look of a casual oxford, but the mesh upper makes them feel much lighter and easier to wear. That makes them useful for days when I want to look a little more put-together without sacrificing comfort. They are breathable, easy to walk around in, and work well with casual outfits. The only thing I’d keep in mind is that the mesh material can take a little extra care to keep clean, but that is a reasonable tradeoff for the comfort.

Summertime Comfort
Size: 6.5, Color: Light/Brown
My husband has a small foot and the shoe was a perfect fit for him, size 6 1/2. Normally this is a difficult size to find in a shoe. He was very pleased with the color and weight of the fabric. The fabric is breathable and lightweight. The shoes are very well constructed with a nice solid heel and sole. They are a perfect summertime shoe. The shoes will go well with shorts or casual trousers.
