🌿 Rare Find: Featured in our curated Rare & Uncommon Garden Plants Collection. Limited availability.
Lavandula viridis, often called green lavender, stands apart from traditional purple varieties with its bright green foliage, piney fragrance, and pale yellow to creamy-white flowers. Its compact clusters and decorative bracts resemble French and Spanish lavenders, but with a lighter, fresher color palette.
This variety blooms for an exceptionally long season—from spring through autumn—bringing steady color and scent to warm-climate gardens. The aroma is distinctive, with notes similar to rosemary and pine. Garden writer and horticulturist Robert Kourik has ranked it among the top lavenders for grilling and cooking because of its savory, herb-like flavor.
With its tidy size and evergreen habit, green lavender works beautifully in containers, rock gardens, and Mediterranean-style landscapes where structure and fragrance matter year-round.
