Tillandsia Tectorum Ecuador is an easy care air plant with a beautiful bright fuzzy white appearance. Tectorum developed large trichomes to reflect the strong ultraviolet light in its natural habitats (in Ecuador and Peru) as well as help the plant catch airborne nutrients.
Ecuador Tectorum produces pale pink flowers on tiny purple inflorescence.
All of the plants may be shipped bare root. -
Tectorum requires more sunlight than other species because so much of it is reflected by the trichomes. Therefore, direct light is recommended.
No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chip can be used instead of soil.
Mist your Tectorum every 1-3 weeks. Give it a little shake off afterwards to make sure water doesn't collect in the bottom leaves to prevent rot. - Zone 10 (30F)

Defected Item
I bought two pair of these slippers, one for each of my children. One of the slippers on the smaller pair is defected, but alas we are past the return period. I just hate that we spent a good amount of money for what should be a quality product and it is defected. I hate for her to continue to wear them and possibly injure her foot due to the way the shoe leans.
