Chick Charms® Giants Gold Mine takes everything you love about hens & chicks and turns up the volume. With rich gold tones similar to those of the Gold Nugget variety but in a much larger form, this variety stands out in containers, rock gardens, and sunny borders. Each rosette is truly oversized for a Sempervivum, easily filling a gallon-sized pot with bold, succulent texture and vivid color.
Bigger Size, Brighter Impact: Unlike standard hens & chicks, this cultivar produces extra-large rosettes that command attention. The golden-yellow foliage is tinged with orange-red highlights; these intensify with cooler weather for dynamic, multi-season interest.
Perfect for Sunny, Dry Spaces: Chick Charms® Giants Gold Mine loves heat and sun, making it an ideal choice for rock gardens, patio pots, and drought-prone areas. Once established, it thrives on neglect—no watering schedule or hard labor required. Do not overwater, and plant in well-draining soil.
Effortless Year-Round Color: This succulent doesn’t go dormant or fade out; it keeps its form and color throughout the year, even in winter. Its easy-going nature and tidy growth habit make it a great option for busy gardeners who appreciate low-maintenance but impactful plantings.
