Haworthia obtusa, a lovely succulent that is relatively low maintenance, is a member of the Aloaceae family. This fast-growing desert plant has its origin in South Africa. It is widely popular by its common name Zebra Cactus, Cushion Aloe, Star Window Plant, or Mini Aloe. This summer-dormant species can reach heights of 3 to 4 inches. In its natural habitat, the Cushion aloe plant grows in thick clusters and is known for its unique appearance.

Growth rate

The Star window plant has a fast growth rate.

Flowering

This variety of Haworthia produces whitish or greenish flowers from the spring to summer season. Your home or garden will look fantastic with these magnificent blooms.

Watering

This drought-resistant plant retains water in its stems & leaves. It is important to always maintain low relative humidity and never let any standing water accumulate around the roots. The soil should be kept damp during summers and in the winters, on the other hand, water only if the soil is entirely dried out.

Soil

The Cushion aloe succulent prefers soil that dries quickly to avoid water retention. Thus, it appreciates a particularly porous potting medium that is non-acidic.

Hardiness

Haworthia cymbiformis is hardy in zones 10a to 11b. It is better to plant these succulents indoors if you live in areas with minimum temperatures of 23° F (-5° C).

Light

This one-of-a-kind plant prefers light shade, but can also tolerate partial daytime exposure to full sun.

Propagation

By leaf or stem cuttings or by removing offshoots, you can easily propagate the Zebra cactus.

Because it's reasonably easy to care for, the Haworthia obtusa makes a nice succulent plant. Beginners enjoy this plant species too!

Get the Tallow Soap Bar instead!
Too perfumy. Not very moisturizing. I've had a lot better but this same company makes an amazing tallow bar soap and that is worth it. Get the Tallow Soap Bar, you'll be glad you did.

Very good tallow cream, nice scent.
I've really been into testing different tallow creams and balms recently. In my experience, the difference between tallow cream and tallow balm is that the cream is much thinner and in most cases, less greasy. This tallow cream here is just that. It is thinner and less greasy than the balm. The sent on this one is interesting. It definitely smells like frankincense to me even though I don't see that listed with the ingredients. The tallow cream spreads out easily and absorbs into my skin very quickly, giving my skin a moisturized feel. It is not greasy in any way.

Better For Targeting Smaller Areas
Because this is a hard balm beef tallow, I find that it's best to use for targeting smaller areas. Due to being a hard balm, it's just kind of difficult to remove from the jar. Use the back of your fingernail to scrape against the balm and that will help you to lift out a small clump that you can then massage along the skin. Or use a cosmetic scoop or spatula to do so. Does not come with one. Once you get this into your skin, it does do a lot to treat and condition the skin. Moisturizes and relieves dryness on a deep level. Especially good for those who suffer from various dry skin conditions. It does have a very light scent that I like, but because of that, I don't like using this on my face. Besides, I tend to not like balms on my face anyway. You may like it there though because it is quite helpful. I love using this on my dry hands, especially after washing them. Also quite good to use along the fingernails to strengthen them. Will not leave the hands feeling messy with a lot of damp residuals. Made in the U.S.A.
