How to Grow Celosia Plumosa from Seeds
Growing Celosia from seeds is simple and suitable even for beginners. Follow these steps for best results:
🌱 Sowing Season: Spring to monsoon (warm months ideal)
🌱 Sowing Method: Seed trays recommended for better germination
🌱 Germination Time: 7–12 days
🌱 Spacing: 20–30 cm apart
🌱 Sunlight: 6–8 hours of full sunlight daily
🌱 Watering: Moderate — keep topsoil slightly moist, avoid overwatering
Transplanting: Shift seedlings to pots or garden beds once they have 3–4 true leaves.
Blooming: 60–80 days after sowing — flowers remain for several weeks.
Extra Tip for More Blooms 🔥
Add a low-nitrogen fertilizer or organic bloom booster once flowering begins — this encourages more plumes and richer colours.
