Description:
Echeveria colorata is a striking succulent known for its sculptural rosettes of thick, silvery-blue to powdery green leaves edged with delicate pink to red margins. This slow-growing, compact plant is highly ornamental and well-suited to containers, rockeries, and garden borders. Its fleshy leaves form a tight, symmetrical rosette that can measure up to 30 cm across. Echeveria colorata thrives in well-drained soil and prefers dry conditions with minimal watering, making it ideal for low-maintenance and drought-tolerant gardens in Melbourne. It benefits from protection against frost and excessive moisture during the cooler months. In spring and summer, it produces slender, arching flower stalks with small, bell-shaped coral-pink flowers that are highly attractive to pollinators. The plant's striking appearance and resilience make it a popular choice for both indoor and outdoor plantings where full sun or bright light is available.
