When and Where to Plant: Select a sunny location and sow seed when the soil has warmed. Plants prefer fertile soil. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, working in vegetable food and organic matter and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist.
Care: Keep soil moist, weed free, and feed monthly. For large fruit pinch off all but 1 or 2 pumpkins per plant.
Harvesting: Cut from vine, leaving 3 in. of stem when shell is hard.
