Lilium michiganense, also known as the Michigan Lily, is a native North American wildflower celebrated for its striking appearance and resilience. This perennial plant is found primarily in the Great Lakes region and parts of the northeastern United States. Michigan Lilies typically grow between 3 to 6 feet (90 to 180 cm) in height and feature a robust, unbranched stem adorned with narrow, lance-shaped leaves arranged in whorls. Its standout feature is the elegant, nodding orange to reddish-orange flowers with prominent dark spots and recurved petals, creating a visually stunning display. These blossoms emit a sweet, alluring fragrance and attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. Lilium michiganense thrives in a variety of habitats, from moist meadows to open woodlands, making it a versatile and adaptable addition to native plant gardens, where it contributes to the conservation of indigenous flora and provides a burst of vibrant color and fragrance.  Zones 3-9

Germination

To germinate Lilium michiganense seeds successfully, Fill a shallow container or seed tray with a well-draining potting mix. Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the soil surface, ensuring they are not buried too deep, and lightly press them in. To mimic natural conditions, place the container in a plastic bag or cover it with a plastic lid to create a mini-greenhouse effect, then store it in a cool, dark location for a stratification period of 8-12 weeks, maintaining consistent soil moisture. After stratification, move the container to a well-lit area with indirect sunlight, ensuring the soil remains moist. When seedlings appear, transplant them into individual pots or your garden, providing well-drained soil, partial shade, and enough space for these vibrant Lilies to flourish.

Indestructible
Style: Fetch Balls (Pack of 2), Size: 3 inch
These balls are indestructible! We have a lab and a lab mix and they CANNOT damage these balls. They love them for fetch and to just chew on them (slightly squishy, but NO damage). Best toys we have bought for them.

Great trial set. Just be careful throwing the orange one!
Style: Assorted Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Blue isn't that easy to see in the yard White charges with bright light/UV and is truly a game changer for night-time fetch. Both dogs clearly favor it. Orange is easy to see in the grass at day They're 3 different weights as well, so double trial. I prefer medium for my big dogs, though light performs well too The orange is HEAVY and unyielding. Do NOT throw it with a ball thrower. It could damage your house or knock your dog out. Seems tough though.

The perfect toy for dogs!
Style: The Duo
This is perfect when you have 2 dogs who love to play Fetch! They no longer have to chase after the same ball! The balls that come with it are very sturdy, and the launcher sends both balls far enough away so that both dogs get plenty of exercise. It’s definitely worth the price!

PERFECT RETRIEVING TOY
Style: EcoFetch
You can barely whip it and it sails far and fast. This is the perfect retrieving toy for my GSP. She's used to average and we now have a small yard, so the dog park is where she gets to run hard and fast. You can also throw tennis balls with it, which is a plus for when her sister steals her ball. 5 star fun!
