UAFX Woodrow '55 Instrument Amplifier: Legendary Tweed Tone in a Stompbox
The UAFX Woodrow '55 Instrument Amplifier pedal brings the iconic sound of vintage American tweed tube amps to your pedalboard. Inspired by the classic tones used by legends like The Eagles, Chuck Berry, and Neil Young, this pedal harnesses powerful dual-engine processing and UAD's acclaimed modeling technology. Experience the sweet cleans, rich overdrive, and gritty distortion of a vintage “golden unit” amp, all within seconds.
Unleashing Classic Tweed Tones
The Woodrow '55 offers a range of tones that capture the essence of mid-'50s American tube amps:
- Vintage Clean: Relive the smooth, sparkling cleans of a classic tweed amp. Perfect for everything from mellow jazz to vibrant rock tones.
- Rich Overdrive: Dial in a warm, dynamic overdrive that captures the essence of a cranked tweed amp. Ideal for bluesy leads and crunchy rhythm parts.
- Grungy Distortion: Achieve that raw, powerful distortion associated with some of rock's greatest moments. Perfect for gritty riffs and soloing.
Versatile Amp and Effects Integration
The Woodrow '55 integrates seamlessly into your rig, offering versatile options for both live performance and studio recording. Built-in speaker and mic emulations from UA's award-winning OX Amp Top Box provide studio-grade tones, while additional “hot rod” boosts and speaker swaps enhance your sound.
