The mauve Anthurium andreanum is an elegant houseplant, known for its spectacular inflorescences in unique mauve hues. Origin: Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, Anthurium andreanum grows in the humid, shady undergrowth of these regions.
Growth: Anthurium andreanum grows moderately. Indoors, it can reach a height of 50 to 70 cm. The foliage develops gradually, forming a dense rosette of heart-shaped leaves. Flowers appear regularly throughout the year, especially if the plant receives adequate light conditions.
Flowers: The inflorescences of Anthurium andreanum consist of a colorful spathe, here a delicate mauve, which surrounds a cylindrical spadix. The flowers can last for several weeks, bringing a lasting touch of color to your home.
Light: Anthurium andreanum prefers bright, indirect light. It tolerates medium light well, but to encourage abundant flowering, it is advisable to provide it with filtered but intense light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.
