I sweat a lot, so I usually only put on a rain jacket when it's really cold. The Element Waterproof Jacket packs down small and is completely waterproof. A positive surprise was that it's also breathable for a rain jacket. Of the previous rain jackets, only the Sportful Aqua Pro rain jacket has I managed to use as a shell layer without getting shockingly wet on the inside. The breathability of this PEdALED is at least on the same level and the fabric is also surprisingly elastic. The fit of the jacket is quite tight. Especially around the stomach area.

So it is also possible to wear a slightly thicker layer underneath. However, the flexibility in terms of wearing additional layers is not at the same level as the Aqua Pro, but the advantage is the small pack size. I rode with the jacket in dry weather at temperatures of 5 - 10°C, so that I only had the Sportful Merino Tee Long Sleeve undershirt underneath. At lower temperatures (the coldest in the test was -3°C), I also wore the PEdALED Odyssey Windblock Merino Jersey underneath. For PEdALED products with zippers, a big plus is the zipper that opens from both ends!
