The straight skirt is midi length with a split at the back and slanted pockets. Choose between curved or straight pocket openings to match the two bodice styles. Version 1 is a classic bodice with a gently curved neckline. Version 2 is a contemporary notched bodice that looks especially great worn over a simple knit top to show off the sharp lines.

Shaping is created by waist darts on the skirt and front bodice. The straps cross at the back in classic pinafore style and are secured to the back bodice with buttons. Lorna is fully lined to ensure it doesn't ride up when worn over tights and to give you the freedom to use many different types of woven fabrics.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Medium to heavy weight woven fabrics with some structure, such as denim, cotton poplin, cotton canvas, brocade, suiting, gabardine and wools.

Lining: Cotton lawn, viscose or traditional lining fabrics. 

Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include only 10 cm buffer to avoid fabric wastage.

Sizes 6 - 20

Main: 1.15 m wide fabric: 1.55 - 2 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 1.4 - 1.8 m.

Lining: 1.15 m wide fabric: 1.25 - 1.7 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 1 - 1.35 m.

Sizes 18 - 30

Main: 1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 18-26 only): 2.35 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.3 m.

Lining: 1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 18-26 only): 1.9 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 1.85 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6-20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18-30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: Two 25 mm buttons; 12" invisible zip.
