My Maltese is about 4.5 pounds and absolutely loves these! He got very excited to play with it right away. When you throw it, the way it bounces and rolls is very unpredictable, which I think adds to the fun. Sometimes my pup drops it while running back and it goes rolling or awkwardly bouncing away from him which causes him to get more excited to chase it and grab it again. It’s been a highly entertaining toy for almost a week straight. The only downside is that the squeaker in it isn’t very durable. After a few days of playing and chewing to squeak it himself, the squeaker barely makes any noise. My pup isn’t an aggressive chewer at all so if your dog is an aggressive chewer, the squeaker really will not last.
