LUCIUS • Bespoke Custom Made & Fitted Single Eyelet Derby Shoes • HAND-PAINTED OXBLOOD CALFSKIN

Exude a rare, minimalist sophistication with the LUCIUS, a shoe that strips away the superfluous to reveal the raw beauty of Italian craftsmanship. The LUCIUS is a Single Eyelet Derby, a silhouette defined by its clean, uninterrupted vamp and a singular point of closure. This rare design offers the streamlined aesthetic of a wholecut with the comfortable, adjustable nature of a Derby. Rendered in a stunning Hand-Painted Oxblood Calfskin, these shoes possess a deep, wine-red soul that radiates an air of mysterious authority.

The LUCIUS is not built to a generic size; it is an anatomical masterpiece sculpted to your specific form. At the heart of this commission is the Bondeno fitting philosophy. We eschew the margins of error found in digital scans and tape measurements in favor of our proprietary physical foot mold process. By obtaining an exact 3D replica of each foot, we ensure the LUCIUS provides a "second-skin" experience that mass-produced luxury simply cannot mirror.

The Precision of the Bondeno Mold

  • Exact Anatomical Replication: Our foot mold process captures the minute nuances of your feet—from the specific height of your instep to the unique topography of your arch and heel—ensuring that every millimeter of the interior is a mirror image of your anatomy.

  • Single Eyelet Calibration: Because the LUCIUS relies on a single eyelet for closure, the fit across the instep must be perfect. By using your physical foot mold, our master last-makers ensure the quarters meet with millimetric precision, providing a secure hold without the need for multiple rows of laces.

  • Zero Break-In Period: Because the LUCIUS is shaped around a physical replica of your foot, we eliminate the friction points and constriction typical of off-the-shelf sizing. From the very first step, the shoe supports your natural gait with total precision.

The Art of the Italian Single Eyelet Derby

  • Hand-Painted Oxblood Calfskin: Sourced from Italy’s most prestigious tanneries, our full-grain calfskin is hand-finished by master patina artists. The "Oxblood" hue features a rich, multi-tonal depth—blending deep burgundy shadows with luminous crimson highlights—ensuring that no two pairs are identical.

  • Minimalist Architectural Elegance: With only a single eyelet, the LUCIUS showcases the purity of the leather and the perfection of the custom-carved last. This "less is more" approach results in a shoe that is incredibly sleek, making it a versatile choice for both formal and avant-garde ensembles.

  • Glove-Grade Leather Lining: The interior is fully lined with moisture-wicking, buttery-soft Italian leather. This breathable environment naturally regulates temperature, keeping your feet cool and dry throughout the day.

  • Artisanal Hand-Lasting: Each pair is hand-lasted in our Italian atelier, ensuring that the leather is perfectly tensioned over your custom mold to maintain its refined shape for a lifetime.

i should have waited for there to be reviews posted
Format: Kindle
I'm being more generous than I should because this is a debut novel i downloaded this book because i like why choose and band romances i figured that it wouldn't take too long to get back to where the prologue was because the prologue seemed to be less than a day before they met the FMC and the MMCs don't meet til 60 % of the way in which for a Romance novel kinda hard for the relationship to develop or for there to be plot beyond them just meeting in a way where the FMC really lacks agency a lot of early plot and character things are forgotten about after they met it's almost as if the last third of the book was written first and then they went back to write backstory separately but forgot there needs to be a plot i get wanting to have background on the characters, but there has to be a way to do it without constant time jumps and no plot progression. Tessa's story jumps around a week lead up so much also the band aspect is very much an afterthought in the novel Spoilers-- one of the MMCs is openly pan and one of them has been dealing with a bi awakening but being somewhat defensive about it and once Tessa arrives that gets forgotten about til the epilogue and even then doesn't actually confront his sexuality the wrap up of the church hiding her name is tied up with a quick sentence, but no real consequences for anyone i honestly thought she forgot about family pack IRS deal until the final chapter and that gets resolved in an unsatisfying way the pack is upset that Tessa gets viewed as an object and tricked into the contract but has no interest in making the company's wrongdoings public or trying to prevent this from happening to other omegas tessa goes over a lot of struggles of homelessness but she only thinks about food waste once after joining the pack -- you'd think she'd use her newfound wealth and power to help other homeless individuals, especially youths and omegas. even a little side note to say that a portion of tour proceeds or her family fortune would go towards public food pantries and shelters would've done something to connect her beginning character to the end character

BORING and too long
Format: Kindle
I could not believe how wordy and boring this book was. No spice at all. Slow burn is really a NO burn. Almost DNF and now I’m sorry I stuck with it. 500 pages could ave been 150 and it would have been more than enough. I highly doubt not recommend this work of yuck.

Still 4 stars
Format: Kindle
A little to much before and to much dive into the days, months before, but I still kept reading. Maybe because of that you could read about them all. I just couldn't put this book in my to read another day list. I just wanted to know what happens to them.

Promising but not without issues
Format: Kindle
First off, the FMC and the pack don't meet until about 60% of the way through. That's just way too late honestly. I can appreciate the backstory of the band and the FMC, but I skimmed at times wondering when they'd meet. I did like the writing and premise but I thought the execution needed a lot of work. The characters were pretty well developed, but they didn't spend that much time on the page together, so I thought that led to the story suffering. I will give her another shot, as I think the writing has promise... It just didn't come all together in a way that I could wholeheartedly recommend.
