LABEL: Nu-Mode Toronto

Jonathon from Cambridge's Fashion History Museum tells us that:

"Nu-mode was founded in 1950 by Fred Singer (the youngest of 13 children from a Polish-Jewish family who had immigrated to Toronto in c. 1900), and his cousin Henry Zagdanski, a Holocaust survivor who came to Toronto in 1946. They ran the company as a small operation until they were bought out by Dylex Diversified in 1967. They continued to manage the company, which grew into a large manufacturer, until 1997 when the two original owners sold out to a former employee, Saul Greenberg. The company had troubles surviving WTO competition from countries with cheap labour, and finally closed in 2019."

Good so far.
Format: Paperback
I will be using these heavily in a month or two, I ordered them because they were on sale so I will come back and edit once I actually read the material, use the glossary, online tools, etc. However from out of the box? All the books are in perfect condition, no sticking pages like other reviews. I will say if you can afford the hardcover version with the labs? Get those. From touching them once or twice so far, this book will not stand up to constant use. It's a really flimsy type.. not even sure if it's paper? It feels like plastic paper. I will also add that that study guide book is F A T . I wish they would have split it into two. I bet the hardcover is gigantic because mine looks like the biggest dictionary you've seen, and I know the cover page which is almost exactly like the pages? Will be ruined once it starts being used consistently.

Very Useful
Format: Paperback
I used these for my A+ exams and I didn’t really end up reading the material. I more so used them for their practice exams. That’s only because there’s a lot of information to digest and I was in a rush to take the exams. I still passed so I find that they are well formatted. The questions imo needs to be read more throughly than the exam questions themselves.

Format: Paperback
I like the explanations, but I don’t like small print, particularly for older people
