A non adherent and absorbent wound dressing for single use. The dressings consists of a central absorbent layer which is sandwiched on both sides by perforated film. This process helps avoid the problems of exudate strike-through. The central absorbent layer is 100% natural cotton. The film is made from high density polyethylene and has consistent porosity with a thickness of 114 micron. This allows the exudates to easily pass through to the absorbent pad. Either side of the dressing can be applied to the wound.
There are two types of Interpose dressings: Interpose and Interpose Lite. See below for differences.
