Stunning vintage Yves Saint Laurent dress from the Fall/Winter 1984 Haute Couture collection, shown here in a slightly different variation documented on the runway.This exquisite gown comes in a vibrant, lovely shade of green iridescent silk taffeta, which has an intentionally crinkled effected throughout. Abstract jet black velvet flocking adorns the piece throughout. Lovely black silk velvet trimmings as well. Juliette style sleeve, with major puff at shoulder and a fitted velvet bottom with zippers at the cuff. Empire and mid-waist ruched panel. Very full sweep skirt bottom, with a solid black a-line skirt lining that is trimmed in a ruched ruffle. Fabrication at the underside of the skirt at the waist/hip, but above the liner, that assists in the fuller appearance. Zip closure at backside. Bodice lined in silk satin. This custom made, one of a kind Haute Couture marvel is a beautiful example of YSL's legacy.

Measurements: Bust up to 33", Under-bust/Empire 26", Waist 26", Lower Waist/High Hip 33", Hip 40" (best up to 38" to allow room for movement, hip is constrained due to the inner lining, despite the outer fullness of the skirt), Length 55", Shoulder 16", Sleeve 27"

Condition: Excellent condition, showing only minor/minimal signs of previous use/wear. There are a few light yellow/orange stains to the under and outer of the left side hem. Completely lost and not really visible due to the sheen and iridescent nature of the fabric.
