You could if you wish, increase the appearance of volume and where a petticoat or crinoline under it. The bodice is sleek and fitted with a pretty flat pleat detail running across the bust. It has light boning through the front and the side zipper means the back is left unbroken. The simple halter strap slips over the neck or you can tuck it and wear it strapless! Fantastic early piece in easy to style basic black!

The dress is unlined and closes with a side painted zipper and the halter slips over the head and around the neck. There are some small flaws and it is priced accordingly. It was let out slightly at each side of the bust and at the back and there are fainted rows where the original stitches were on all vertical seams. There is scuffing and faint fading here and there along the hem and some small pinholes. These are all minor and expected in a piece this age. It is stable and wearable.

Fair Quality, Hour and a half build

Key things: It does (more or less, not completely) fold in on itself, it does block nearly all visibility (especially from an angle), it was only about an hour and thirty minutes to put together, and it is light weight.

Assembly was a bit rough

It is serving the purpose it is bought for. However the assembly was harder than it should have been.
Joining the parts A and B (two iron pipes) was very hard. We can't use any tools to do that and it has to be done manually and every joint was very tight and very hard to to do. I had to struggle to make 24 joints for the length I need. At one point I was going to return it, but I needed it very badly so continued with the assembly.
