Inspiration for the design of a flowing spring fairy dress:

Inspired by Cicely Mary Barker's *Flower Fairies* series (published in 1923).

Based on the off-the-shoulder petal neckline and sheer lantern sleeves of the flower fairies in the illustrations, the fitted waist replicates the slender waist of the dandelion fairy, while the ruffled skirt mimics the drooping curve of lily of the valley petals.

This fairy midi dress recreates the anthropomorphic fairy aesthetics of Edwardian plants.
