Production & Heritage

Little Black Dress Divalicious White Blend is crafted by winemaker Margaret Leonardi at the brand's facility in Mendocino County, California. The blend is composed of 64% Pinot Grigio, 18% Moscato, 8% Chardonnay, 4% Sauvignon Blanc, and 6% other white varietals — a formula designed to balance crisp acidity with aromatic sweetness. The dominant Pinot Grigio provides the wine's structural backbone, while the Moscato contributes floral perfume and a touch of residual sweetness that nudges the finished wine into off-dry territory.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: The nose opens with sweet jasmine and orange blossom, giving way to fresh citrus peel and ripe stone fruit. There is a gentle floral perfume throughout that reflects the Moscato component without overwhelming the blend's brighter, more mineral-driven top notes.

Taste: On the palate, the entry is crisp and citrus-forward, with lemon zest and green apple leading into a mid-palate of apricot and white peach. Medium acidity keeps the off-dry sweetness in check, while a subtle grassiness — contributed by the Sauvignon Blanc fraction — adds dimension. The Chardonnay rounds out the texture with a soft, slightly fuller mouthfeel than a straight Pinot Grigio would deliver.

Finish: The finish is refreshing and moderate in length, with lingering notes of minerality and citrus rind. A clean, balanced close with no cloying residual sweetness makes it easy to reach for another glass.

How to Drink Divalicious White

This blend shows well chilled to around 45–50°F, served in a standard white wine glass. It is approachable enough for casual sipping on its own, or with a single ice cube on warm days. For cocktails, it works in a White Wine Spritzer, where the floral aromatics hold up against sparkling water and a citrus twist; in a White Sangria, where its stone fruit and jasmine notes complement fresh-cut peaches and berries; and in a French 75 riff, substituted for Champagne to add an off-dry, aromatic twist to the classic template.

Best For

  • Casual outdoor gatherings and warm-weather entertaining
  • Introducing friends to multi-varietal white blends beyond single-grape bottlings
  • Pairing with light appetizer spreads at dinner parties
  • A weeknight wine that doesn't require decanting or deliberation

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Divalicious White taste like? It is an off-dry white wine with prominent citrus and stone fruit flavors — think lemon zest, apricot, and white peach — balanced by floral jasmine notes, crisp acidity, and a clean mineral finish.

How does Divalicious White compare to a straight Pinot Grigio? While a typical Pinot Grigio leans lean and dry with primarily citrus and green apple notes, the Divalicious White Blend introduces floral sweetness from 18% Moscato and textural roundness from 8% Chardonnay, resulting in a more aromatic and slightly sweeter profile.

Is Divalicious White good for beginners? Yes — its off-dry sweetness, approachable fruit-forward palate, and moderate acidity make it an accessible starting point for those new to wine or transitioning from sweeter styles toward drier whites.

Where is Divalicious White made? It is produced at the Little Black Dress winery in Mendocino County, California, under the direction of winemaker Margaret Leonardi.

What foods pair well with Divalicious White? Its off-dry character and acidity pair naturally with mildly spicy Thai green curry, where the sweetness tempers heat; fresh goat cheese and fruit crostini, which echo the wine's stone fruit notes; grilled shrimp skewers, whose char complements the citrus backbone; chicken salad with a lemon vinaigrette; and light sushi rolls like California or shrimp tempura, where the wine's clean finish refreshes the palate.

What sizes does Divalicious White come in? The standard offering is a 750ml bottle, which is the most widely available format.

Is Divalicious White worth the price? It positions as a value-tier California white blend, delivering multi-varietal complexity and a Gold Medal pedigree at a price point that competes favorably with everyday supermarket whites — strong value for the category.

Why Divalicious White?

The five-grape blend is the distinguishing feature here. Where most wines in this price range rely on a single varietal, the Divalicious White layers Pinot Grigio's acidity, Moscato's perfume, Chardonnay's body, and Sauvignon Blanc's herbaceous edge into a cohesive, off-dry whole. Its Gold Medal at the Monterey Wine Competition validated the approach. Winemaker Margaret Leonardi's blending from Mendocino County fruit gives the wine a sense of place that mass-produced alternatives often lack, and the result is a versatile white that drinks well above its price tier.

Loved it
Format: Kindle
This book was a Rollercoaster of emotions and I was all about it. I love the relationship between Luca and Juliette bc it was real and human. It showed growth, love, and understanding. It wasn't easy but it was real. I enjoyed every moment of it especially the soul marks. That was a wonderful element to the plot that I would love to read more of.

So cute
Format: Paperback
Ok, going into this, I didn't realize this had any fantasy-ish/magical elements, so for a minute, that threw me off. But honestly, I was really pleasantly surprised by this book. I had never heard of Katie Chandler before, but had seen the book mentioned on a list of upcoming releases so I just thought I would give it a try. This is a classic rivals to lovers story and I was here for it! Luca and Juliette were pretty nasty to each other in the beginning so it definitely took a minute for them to come around. I really enjoyed the amount of character growth that happened in this story. Juliette especially comes a long way within herself to be a better person her Luca and for herself. It was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster with the push and pull, but it paid off in the end. The idea of a "fated mates" situation, in a mostly contemporary romance was definitely original and I look forward to seeing how she might incorporate those fantasy elements into future books. 4 stars from me! Great story.

Underdeveloped Debut
Format: Kindle
Chandler’s debut novel started out as an engaging read, though the storyline leaned heavily on a trope that is used too frequently. The protagonists, Juliette and Luca, had great chemistry as rivals. However, as the plot developed and the supernatural twist was revealed (which felt akin to the film In Time, but only with respect to the tattoos), both lost their appeal. Luca seemed to lack depth, despite the fact that she was supposed to be the more emotional and sensitive one. Juliette was insufferable at times and I did not believe the growth she underwent in order to find her way back to Luca. The supporting characters were forgettable and their interactions with Juliette and Luca did nothing to save the characterization flaws. The conflict between Juliette and Luca seemed forced towards the middle and end too, as Luca put in more effort into their relationship than Juliette did. By the end of the novel, unfortunately, my eyes reverted to skimming the pages, so I could finish it faster. Please note that while I found fault with most elements of the novel, it overall was not an unpleasant read— just very dull. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria, as I was invited to read this novel after receiving an e-mail from Atria Books.
