The Imperial All-Tube Preamp Pedal delivers Tone King's legendary MKII amplifier's '50s tweed, '60s blackface, and vintage British rock tones in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. It includes the exact preamp section and phase inverter circuitry of the Imperial MKII amp, plus onboard Reverb, Tremolo, and Attenuation.
Powered by three 12AX7 tubes running at high voltage, the Imperial Preamp offers true amp dynamics and tone. Built-in impulse response (IR) loader per channel, headphone out, and full MIDI integration brings classic tones into the modern era.
Legendary Vintage Tube Amp Tones
The pedal features two channels inspired by the Imperial MKII:
- Rhythm Channel: Classic '60s blackface clean with smooth transition to overdrive.
- Lead Channel: '50s tweed to British rock with Mid-Bite control for focused low-end and added gain.
Built-In Zero Watt Poweramp
Includes phase inverter circuitry from the Imperial MKII amp, delivering harmonic and dynamic authenticity in a silent package.
Stereo Reverb & Tremolo
Foot-switchable convolution spring reverb and stereo tremolo assignable per channel, inspired by the Imperial MKII's era-correct effects.
IR Cabinet & Power Amp Simulation
Low-latency impulse response technology with 15 included OwnHammer IRs:
