• Eminence – Whenever you cast another Vampire spell, create a 1/1 black Vampire creature token (even from the command zone!).
• First strike • haste.
• When Edgar attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on each Vampire you control.

TL;DR: every Vampire spell is 2 Vampires, and Edgar’s first swing often represents ~10–15 damage out of nowhere.

  • Shared Animosity or Metallic Mimic set to Vampire, swing with 15+ hasty 3/3s after Edgar’s pump.
  • Edgar’s Mark style: New Blood to steal biggest blocker, then crash in.
• Combo twist (optional)
  • Necrotic Ooze + Bloodline Necromancer + Phantom Vampire lines for infinite ETBs, but you can omit for casual tables.

• Twilight Prophet – “Bob” for Vampires; with 40+ life you reliably flip lands & drain 5–6.
• Rakdos Charm – Grave-hate or instant win vs token decks (each creature deals 1 dmg to controller).
• Faithless Looting + Bloodghast – Loot awkward hands, recur Bloodghast for Eminence triggers.
• Markov Familiars: Stormkirk Captain (+1/+1 & first strike) and Drana & Linvala (shuts off enemy activated abilities while copying them!).

🏷 Table etiquette & tips

1. Sandbag Edgar until you have 2–3 cheap Vampires in hand; the post-Edgar turn can KO someone.
2. Prioritise Aristocrat drain pieces early— they deter board wipes (“Sure, but you’ll lose 15 life.”).
3. Changeling Outcast (1-drop unblockable) is your best Skullclamp target and always triggers Eminence.
4. Remember Edgar’s tokens enter before the spell resolves; Path to Exile your own token in a pinch to ramp.
