Designed for maximum ease and security, every detail — from the auto-retracting LATCH to the magnetic buckle holder — is built to make life with a newborn a little easier.

Safety & Comfort

Advanced Side Impact Protection meets FMVSS 213A and 213B regulations, while a 4th anti-rebound handle position increases safety in rebound and rear-impact collisions. A large adjustable headrest with 25 positions ensures a proper fit as baby grows, and a no-rethread 5-point harness adjusts with the headrest in one step. A robust infant insert optimizes fit and body positioning from as little as 4 lbs, an intuitive magnetic buckle holder keeps straps out of the way while placing baby in the seat, and two crotch buckle positions allow a precise fit. An ergonomic carry handle with one-handed stroller release button, a deluxe full-coverage UPF 50+ canopy with mesh ventilation and peek-a-boo window, and removable washable seat fabric complete the carrier. Fabric is free from flame-retardant chemicals, the carrier weighs under 10 lbs, and the seat is FAA certified for aircraft use.

Installation

The SmartSecure® system with auto-retracting LATCH installs in seconds, and a red-to-green tightness indicator confirms a safe, accurate install. A four-position adjustable foot makes leveling easy, a built-in lock-off enables secure seatbelt installation, European routing allows a more secure install without the base, and level indicators on both sides of the base provide added confidence.

Stroller Compatibility & Specifications

Attaches directly to UPPAbaby Vista® and Cruz® strollers without adapters; adapters available for Minu® and Ridge® strollers (sold separately). Age range: approximately 0–1 years. Weight: 4–30 lbs, height up to 32” (whichever comes first). Car seat: 17”W × 25.8”L × 23”H, 9.9 lbs. Base: 14.5”W × 21.3”L × 10.3”H, 9 lbs. I survived. I made it through the book! This is a very slow book. Like... incredibly slow. I get that it's world building, but there also needs to be a sense that this world is worth caring about. The good side is that the author has lovely writing. And the audio book reader is fantastic. But the story itself is paced incredibly slowly and without the depth needed to care about the characters or world. I fell asleep a few times with the beautiful reader and lovely words... telling a story I just wasn't interested in The downside is that Silla is one of the most annoying main characters. She is weak and naive, with essentially no backstory. She's traveled all over with her father but apparently cooking and bread are her only skills. No worldliness. No experience with men or, well friends at all. Yet on the flip side she's able to learn fighting skills in a few weeks and starts outright flirting quite detailed within a few days. So is she a naive weak maiden or a hidden temptress warrior? No idea. Not sure she knows either. The other character backstories are also quite shallow. Like a few lines were written and that's all that needs to be said. But...it is lovely writing. I bought the 2nd book at the same time that I bought the first. I honestly have no desire to read the 2nd but curiosity has me wondering if it actually gets to storytelling.

This was truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! In every possible way. - the setting. I loved the steampunk/gaslamp setting with trains, overcast weather, and mafia vibes - the magic. I still don’t entirely understand the magic system and descendants as much and it took awhile for me to get my footing in that department- and I am intrigued beyond measure, though it in no way lessened my enjoyment of the story. I just really wish I had a better grasp of it. - the plot itself. Beautiful. The tropes were troping in the absolute best way. Every single thing that happened I was like YES MORE!!! - the writing. I found myself grinning ear to ear uncontrollably during my entire read through and full on choking on my gasps, again, like the entire read through. And I read this too at times when I was in an awful mood so the way this book was an INSTANT pick me up really speaks to how well this was written. I was having the absolute best time, non stop. - the characters. The best part oh my gosh. Camilla is SUCH a badass. Her and Nico are supposed to be low 20s and I gotta tell you they read more like 30s from how capable and mature they are (not that that age bracket is incapable or immature, just comparing them to other characters written in that age range). She is the type of cool as heck character that everyone would be cos-playing as and if it was a kid movie, every single girl would dress as her for Halloween. She’s that awesome. Nico is top freaking tier. I gotta say his hairstyle is my undoing and with the addition of the metal arm- before I even started reading the book I was in love with him. And he was EVEN BETTER than my lofty expectations. This man. Perfect in every single way. Every. Single. Way. If I start now I won’t stop so I’m just gonna leave it at that. Camilla and Nico are power couple of the century though and the way they interacted was the most toe-curling/squealing/kicking your feet banter I’ve read in a while. PLUS the way they fell for each other was a gem. I was falling in love with their relationship right along with them. - a shout out to the side characters too. Aramis, Gideon, Aunt Fran, Esme, Luther, Adler [honestly just insert all the supporting cast they were freaking phenomenal] brought so much life and personality to the story and helped round out Nico and Camilla. I really really really would absolutely adore if Adler got some more spotlight time in the future because he and Aramis are up there with “let’s give these side characters their own spinoffs”. Also, the villains were great too. I love a great villain in a story and sometimes I don’t think they get highlighted as much in books as in movies or TV that I hear of. If it wasn’t obvious already- this was even greater than a 5 star read. This was perfection- in quality and in vibes- and it was one of the most enjoyable reading experiences I have ever had and I’m not throwing that around lightly. I have scenes from this book playing in my mind unbidden on repeat and I know this world has so much more to be explored. I will read anything Alexis L Menard puts out in the future
