    Product specification

XL modular moss pole with a large 6 cm (2.4") diameter, the starter kit is comprised of two detachable 25 cm (10") sections, and one of two base options. We offer moss pole kits with extensions up to 200 cm (80"), just select from the length options.

A tried and proven sturdy design, this moss pole has a unique screw connection that allows this moss pole to be endlessly extended as your plant grows.

    The starter kit includes:

    • 1 x 14 cm anchor base OR stake
    • 2 x 25 cm pole extensions

We have designed this modular moss pole with a sturdy anchor pot base that will keep your pole upright, while adapting to the diameter of your pot: this provides the most stability. If you don't intend on repotting your plant while you add the moss pole, choose our stake instead, which can just be pushed and twisted into the soil.

This XL sized kit is quite sturdy, and suitable for most thin-stemmed climbing plants. For young plants, check our L-sized kit, and for heavy climbers consider our XXL and D-Shaped Kits.

Happy to help if you're unsure - send us a pic of your plant and we can advise!

    Material

All parts are made of PLA+. PLA is a 100% bio-sourced plastic: it’s made of renewable resources such as corn or sugar cane. PLA is also biodegradable and it can be composted.

    Sizing

XL-sized modular moss pole with a large 6 cm (2.4") diameter, the starter kit is comprised of two 25 cm (10") sections of moss pole, and a 12.5 cm (5") base (either a twist-in stake, or a buried anchor base). We offer moss pole kits with lengths up to 200 cm (80"), and you can increase the length further by adding extensions

    Assembly

We will also provide instructions on how to put your moss pole together using sphagnum moss, but honestly, it is so straightforward and easy that you probably won't need it. They will still be there, if you need them.

Moist moss poles are extremely top-heavy, so our recommendation is that you use an additional brace if your plant is very heavy, or if you extend your moss pole past 100 cm (4 units). You don't want your precious plant keeling over! Our brackets are an excellent option as well, as they can be attached to a nearby wall with nothing more than double sided tape!

    Add-ons & extensions

Keep growing your pole with your plant by purchasing moss pole extension kits. Additional modules can be attached without the use of any tools, with screw-in joints. In the same fashion, the poles may be disassembled for cleaning and reuse if your plant doesn't take to its home.

As an aside, each extension of 25 cm holds about 1 litre of hydrated moss.

Get the incredibly practical Slow-Drip watering cap that drops into the top of your moss pole to make keeping the moss moist a breeze!

    Filling your moss pole

Better by far than a coco coir pole, our moss poles are best filled with sphagnum moss, which will hold much more moisture: this will benefit the plant and increase the humidity in it's environment to a greater degree.

    Small print

Everything we make is printed to order and lovingly squeezed out by our 3D printers at our little workshop, so there may be slight variations and minor visual defects to your products. This is just a standard feature of the production method.

    Great product! Worth the purchase
Color: White, Size: 2.5', Style: 2.5 ft
I just wanted a surge protected that's cheap and protects from lightning. I got this product since it was the highest rating for the price. I love this product, and it works great. I have all 6 used and it wasn't that hard to plug in the outlets as some say. It is a little harder than usually, but they don't fall out anymore! I haven't had lightning hit yet so I don't know how well it is against it, but it does come with a lifetime warranty! I just had a bad storm and it worked great, but no lightning struck the power line. I love the product for the price just don't like that it doesn't have the protected light on it (to let you know if you are still protected from lightning). Great product! Also this is a little bigger than a normal 6 outlet, but at least this one includes a surge protection!

Better than the basic power strip
Color: White, Size: 2.5', Style: 2.5 ft
I needed to get a basic five or six outlet power strip and instead ended up with this . Since the power strip that I was going to get was for basic protection, and would be plugged into a surge suppressor anyway, I really wasn't concerned about how much protection it offered. Just having the extra outlets for additional small-to-medium electrical devices was important. While looking and comparing this with basic power strips, I decided to check the manufacturer's site to see what specs they offered, since the ones here seemed to be a bit inadequate. Here's what I found: * 555 Joule energy rating provides maximum protection of all your sensitive electronic devices * 6 Surge-protected outlets supply 2-line AC protection * 2.5-foot power cord delivers optimal, safe AC power through a 14-gauge heavy-duty cord * Filters EMI/RFI noise up to 43 dB reduction * Maximum Spike Amperage of 36,000 Amps * Lifetime Product Warranty * $15,000 Connected Equipment Warranty The pros on this unit include the price, the basic surge protection, a short but sturdy power cord, and good basic construction. It has a power/reset switch that's recessed at the top of the unit near the power cord to prevent accidental shutting down. On the negative side, like so many of these units, the outlets are too close together to put more than a couple transformer-type devices like cell phone chargers and such. Just a couple of comments on the specifications listed above to those who may be interested: if you're going to plug high-end expensive electronics into one of these, don't do it. This is an adequate but very basic unit, and you want to consider getting a better grade surge suppressor for large screen televisions, good computer systems and such. No surge protector is 100% effective, but sure that the product is listed as a transient voltage surge suppressor, and that it meets the criteria for UL 1449, the absolute minimum performance standard for surge suppressors. I'm no electrical engineer or electronics technician, but if you're going to protect an expensive jogging machine, your new 52-inch television or Apple iMac 27-inch desktop system, you need better than an under $10 surge suppressor or power strip. A friend who I will refer to as the 'cranky electronic tech' told me to look it up on the 'Net, but make sure that whatever I got for protection of "really good stuff" needed to be minimally have a UL1449 3rd Edition certification and be rated at 1400 joules of surge protection or higher, and the rest would fall into place. The that I've used for years with my large electronics is rated at 3330 Joules, and meets those specs. If you plan to use a basic surge suppressor to charge cell phones and the like with their transformer plugs, units with right-angle outlets are a better, though more costly choice. My personal choice for mid-range protection combined with outstanding quality is the , a 5-star product that I own and have reviewed here. I run two notebook computers with this, along with a few chargers. There are others if you look. If all that you're looking for is a basic surge protector with a reasonable amount of surge suppression, then this one from Belkin is a decent choice, and certainly better than the basic power strip. I actually came back recently and bought a second one this year. But if your needs call for more, then the above listed alternates may be worth a look. 4/25/2012

It just works, and that is all that matters
Color: White, Size: 10 ft (Pack of 1), Style: 10 ft
It's a Belkin product. Do you really need to know anything more? My roommate bought a really crappy multi-outlet, it worked for the low wattage stuff, but for the higher wattage stuff the internal breaker kept popping. I bought this one, and it hasn't failed me yet.

i cant comment on its performance as a surge protector but as a power strip its awesome. its redic cheap plenty of plug ins super thin, my other strip is twice as thick the on off switch is hidden which is great to not accidentally hit it, and with having kids around the cord length is perfect for my needs. its plug in behind a chair and a half and comes around the side and has plenty of play to move and plug and unplug the only con i can say about it which is not really a con because it wasnt designed for it. your only going to fit 1 big adapter on the end, or your going to have to give up plug ins to have more than that. but that clearly isnt the design of this strip. its about being thin, compact, hidden, and cheap. you want one that can do everything, your going to have to spend more
