The items needed to pitch your shelter will vary depending on your approach.
- Front Pole: About 44" - 45" (~111 - 114 cm) when pairing with the Bug Shelter or 39" - 42" (~99 - 107cm) when pairing with the Bivy
- Rear Pole: At least 31" (~79cm) when pairing with the Bug Shelter or at least 26" (~66cm) when pairing with the Bivy
- Stakes: 6 (8 for better wind stability)
- Rigging: If you plan to pitch the inner on its own (not under the Cirriform), you will need additional guyline or our Stand-alone rigging kit. If using tent poles or trekking poles without baskets, you may also need two of our guyline grommets (not needed with stand-alone kit).
Notes/FAQ:
- Do I need a groundsheet? A groundsheet is not required, but using one will help extend the life of any floor.
- Do I need to seal the seams? Tarp seams should be sealed using a sealer for silicone coated fabrics (we recommend Seam Grip +SIL by Gear Aid). Optional seam sealing service available. Floor seams are factory-taped and don't require sealing.
Pitching
How to pitch
Start by staking out the corners of the tarp to establish your base. Raise the poles at the peaks and stake them to form the shelter's shape. Adjust and tension the lines evenly for a tight, balanced pitch. Once the outer is secure, attach the inner by clipping the corners and apexes to the tarp. When breaking camp, leave the inner and outer connected so your shelter is ready for a quick, seamless setup next time.

Solders nice, extremely flexible maybe too flexible
Size: silicone wire red 20ft and black 20ft, Color: Red and Black
The wire solders very nicely. It's very flexible, perhaps a little too flexible. I used this wire in a couple speaker building projects. I like to put the wire in a drill and twist the wires together, it's a nice look and helps with wire management. The too flexible part makes it so the wire doesn't stay tightly twisted. To remedy that I use heat shrink at either end to at least keep the wires somewhat together.

Over-kill makes nice tools. This is good tinned fine stranded wire with quality silicone insulation. Five-star stuff, without buying some expensive large quantity minimum from a high-end wire manufacturer.
