Our globally acclaimed 1,000HP+ Capable Nissan Skyline Dog Engagement Gearset is an essential addition for any automotive enthusiast!
We're immensely pleased with its design, and we're equally impressed by how effortless it is to maintain the transmission when necessary.
Each gear is meticulously pressed onto the counter shaft and main shaft individually, ensuring that every component can be replaced separately with utmost ease if required in the future.
Featuring universal fitment for RB25, RB26, RB30, and VG30 transmissions, our gearset boasts a heavy-duty design crafted from top-quality billet steel materials. Precision machined using CNC technology, each component undergoes surface grinding after heat treatment to minimize noise and maximize strength. Comprehensive instructions are included for seamless installation.
For those seeking enhanced performance, we offer an optional Isotropic Superfinishing process.
Despite its exceptional capabilities, our Skyline Dog Engagement Gearbox remains competitively priced, making it an accessible choice for those in search of a high-horsepower capable transmission that is easy to service.
What sets our Dog Engagement Gearset apart and why should you consider it?
The standout feature of our Dog Engagement Gearset lies in its unparalleled serviceability. With each part fully removable, maintenance becomes a breeze, providing enthusiasts with unmatched convenience and flexibility. This capability allows for swift repairs without the need to dismantle the entire gearbox, reducing downtime and ensuring quick return to the road or track.
Furthermore, the gearbox's ability to accommodate shifting at over 9,000rpm adds to its performance prowess, catering perfectly to the high-revving engines commonly found in racing and high-performance setups. Paired with lightning-fast shifting, this feature elevates the driving experience, delivering seamless power delivery and exceptional responsiveness.
The convenience doesn't stop there. Our gearset comes as a comprehensive 100% drop-in kit, complete with all necessary components for installation. From gears to shafts, dog rings, and hubs, everything you need for a complete upgrade is included, eliminating the hassle of sourcing additional parts separately.
Notably, our gearset features 6 dogs per gear, surpassing the standard 5-dog setup commonly found in other Skyline Dogbox Kits. This enhancement translates to even faster and more precise shifts, underscoring our dedication to providing top-tier performance and user experience.
With a focus on optimizing shifting speed and precision, our Dog Engagement Gearset stands as the ultimate choice for enthusiasts seeking to elevate their Nissan transmission for high-performance applications.
1st to 4th Gear Ratios:
- 1st – 2.583 (Mainshaft 31 / Countershaft 12)
- 2nd – 1.625 (Mainshaft 26 / Countershaft 16)
- 3rd – 1.263 (Mainshaft 24 / Countershaft 19)
- 4th – 1.000 (Mainshaft 24 / Countershaft 24)
5th Gear Ratio Options:
- Short – 0.814 (Mainshaft 22 / Countershaft 27)
- Long – 0.677 (Mainshaft 21 / Countershaft 31)
MS = Main Shaft Gear Count
CS = Counter Shaft Gear Count
*Take note, when using the short ratio 0.814 it is required to slightly die-grind the Retainer Plate near the gear for clearance to the teeth as the gear is larger.
**Using this Gearset will result into your FACTORY 0.76 Ratio 5th Gear becoming a 0.55 Ratio because of the fact we run a true 1:1 Drive Gear (4th Gear) - We suggest using 5th only for the Highway if you run this kit, our optional Dog Engagement 5th gear with 0.814 ratio (1-5 Short + Reverse) for circuit use and 0.677 1-5 Long + Reverse ratio for highway use to go with this kit, with Dog Engagement Reverse.
We now offer Isotropic Superfinishing on all our Speedtek Products.
(This process will increase the time from when we could dispatch the kit, please email us if you have any questions)
Superfinishing is a metalworking process that improves surface finish and workpiece geometry. This is achieved by removing just the thin amorphous surface layer left by the last process with an abrasive stone to grind the gears and other parts ; this layer is usually about 1 μm in magnitude. Superfinishing, unlike polishing which produces a mirror finish, creates a cross-hatch pattern on the workpiece.
Advantages of superfinishing include: increasing part life, decreasing wear, closer tolerances, higher load bearing surfaces, better sealing capabilities, and elimination of a break in period.
Our solid 6-month unconditional warranty program for all our manufactured gearsets, you can be confident that your investment is well-protected.
Our extended warranty program is available, for more information : Extended Warranty Program now Available with our Performance Transmiss – Speedtek Auto Racing
