Make'n Music is happy to have this Custom Shop Fender Stratocaster electric guitar for sale! It is a Mark Knopfler Signature model Stratocaster NOS Masterbuilt by Todd Krause! Todd Krause is the Fender Masterbuilder who actually builds Mark Knopfler's personal instruments and this guitar is built to the exact specifications that Mark uses. If you are a Mark Knopfler fan then this is the Strat for you! It really nails the classic tone found on those Dire Straits records. And how cool is it than you can actually own and play a guitar built by "the guy"?
This guitar really sings. It is sweet, rich and sparkling. Mouthwateringly good!!! One strum acoustically and you will fall in love with the deep resonant tone. Loud and lively! All the features and specs are exactly as Mark Knopfler would have them- From the vibrant Hot Rod Red color, the beautifully figured Maple neck with a deep, dark fingerboard and the mostly vintage 1960 Stratocaster specifications. Medium Jumbo frets improve the playability while an Ash body and Custom Shop Texas Special pickups compliment each other well- Balancing out the brightness of the Ash wtih a beefy, full sounding pickup combination.
Todd Krause Masterbuilt instruments are incredibly collectable investment pieces and this one in particular, being a Mark Knopfler Signature model, is sure to increase in value. Heck- it took over 3 years to get as Todd is so backed up and it would already cost over $1000 more if I ordered it again today.
