Psidium cattleyanum, commonly known as Cattley guava or strawberry guava, is a delightful evergreen shrub or small tree that hails from South America but has naturalized in many tropical and subtropical regions. This compact plant is known for its sweet, aromatic fruits that resemble small strawberries. The fruits are typically red or yellow when ripe and are not only a delectable treat but also packed with vitamin C and antioxidants. The shrub features dark green, glossy leaves and, in favorable conditions, bears numerous fruit year-round. Psidium cattleyanum adapts well to a variety of soil types and is often used as a hedging plant. Its charming appearance and delicious fruits make it a popular choice for both edible landscaping and as an ornamental addition to gardens in warm and frost-free climates.  Zones 9-11

Germination

Germinating Psidium cattleyanum seeds can be relatively straightforward. Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Next, plant the clean seeds in a well-draining potting mix, typically with a mix of peat and perlite. Sow the seeds at a shallow depth, about 1/4 inch, and cover them lightly with the potting mix. Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering. Cover the container with a clear plastic lid or plastic wrap to create a humid environment. Place the container in a warm location with indirect sunlight. Psidium cattleyanum seeds typically germinate within a few weeks to a couple of months. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots or directly into the garden, where they can grow into fruit-bearing plants in suitable tropical or subtropical conditions.

Fits Sage Bambino Plus
Works flawlessly with Sage (Breville) Bambino Plus. It even comes with a straight basket which is an upgrade for the machine! People complaining about the magnets need to use their brains to turn first, pull second.

Magnets fell out. Everything else works well
Magnets holding the back piece fell out. Other than that it works as advertised.

Really Cool
This is actually a well made portafilter. It was such a good idea to be able to have a nice WDT tool built in that doesn’t take up some extra counter space or anything. It minimizes clutter and just was a good idea so you always have it handy. Definitely would recommend.

Fine basket, lousy magnets: Look elsewhere
Build is nice, solid and the baskets fit snuggly without being too hard to remove. The WDT tool works well and came with a surfeit of needles. HOWEVER The tiny magnets holding the WDT in the handle aren’t glued in place and now come FLYING out when the tool is removed. One or two pull free and then shoot across the unit, pulling others out and ending up somewhere in the kitchen. Fortunately (because they’re REALLY small), they form a small column making it somewhat easier to track down. But it’s such a nuisance I now leave the tool out, so there’s a small dangerous hedgehog of verrrry thin needles in my kitchen we need to work around. Sub-optimal, sorta defeats the purpose of in-handle tool.
