What does a foot switch do?
Foot switches control mains electrical equipment with your foot, keeping your hands free. 

It is difficult to start/stop lathes, grinders, circular saws, tattoo machines etc when both hands are holding the work piece.

Cheap foot switches directly connect mains voltage to the foot switch. This presents many hazards such as cable tripping, cables fraying (exposing live mains conductors), moisture/water ingress; any of which present a very real danger to the operator – particularly when in a confined, often damp, space such as a workshop.

The Tough & Easy wireless foot switch is different!
The Tough & Easy foot switch has two modes, momentary and latching:

• Momentary means that when the foot switch is pressed, it will turn on the mains device. Removing the foot turns off the device.
• Latching means that pressing the foot switch will turn the electrical device on and it will remain on. Pressing the foot switch again will turn the device off.

Technical details

The Tough & Easy wireless foot switch comes with a self-contained heavy-duty aluminium foot peddle and a mains socket switch.

Installation and setup will take less than 30 seconds!

Plug the mains socket switch into a socket next to your electrical equipment. Plug your electrical item into the mains socket switch. Switch on the foot switch. Put it on the floor and use it.

The foot switch has a single on/off switch and tri-colour activity indicator led. A long life pp3 battery has been fitted so the foot switch can be used immediately.

The mains socket switch has a maximum rating of 2 kw, which is more than enough for most applications.

The range is approximately 10 – 20 metres, depending upon conditions; which is far more than is required for most applications.

The Tough & Easy wireless foot switch can enhance workshop safety but must not be used as the sole method of turning equipment on/off!

It must be used as an additional method to turn on/off your equipment. Although unlikely, it is possible that another transmitter in the neighbourhood could activate the mains socket switch. If this happens, a different channel can be used.
