Lily-of-the-Valley is a tough and dependable addition to any shady space. Not only does it reliably appear very early in the spring when not much else will bloom, but even after the flowers are spent, the plant stays around until late summer when vibrant orange berries appear, and its tight root masses discourage weeds from growing.
